3 Powerful Productivity Hacks
Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day and the same 7 days in a week, but let’s face it, not all time is invested wisely, and it’s what we choose to do with our time that determines the results we create.
When it comes to running a business - and most likely running a household and a family, oftentimes a job or second business, as well as running your own life successfully - making the most of the hours you have is vitally important to your success.
The network marketing industry, and the world of entrepreneurship at large requires you to manage your own schedule, and ensure you are moving your own business forwards without anybody looking over your shoulder or telling you what to do.
Unfortunately, whilst this is great for allowing flexibility and work-life balance, it can often be a challenge to stay motivated and get things done.
Use these 3 Powerful Productivity Hacks To Amplify Your Output this week:
Plan Your Week
This might seem like common sense – but are you actually doing it? I want you to set aside an hour per week on either a Friday or a Sunday, to plan for your next week ahead. I actually like to make my plan on a Friday, and then review it again on a Sunday with fresh eyes to make a note of what my most important intentions are, and what I can actually let go of that isn’t important, to make sure I get the priority stuff done.
What I suggest is you grab your calendar, diary, or planner, and you first list out all of the things you want to do in your week. This means accounting for meal times, travel times, and all of the bits and pieces you forget about when you’re not paying attention to your goals and how what you do daily affects your progress towards them.
When you have listed out your “to-do’s”, it’s time to transfer them in to your diary to make sure they get done.
TIP: Allow yourself enough time in between activities so you are not rushed or flustered, so you show up to meetings, presentations, and one-to-ones as your best self.
Block Your Time
The school day is set up with a number of lessons and breaks throughout the day, and this is for a reason – because as humans we have the ability to concentrate for a certain length of time before we become un-energised or distracted. The same goes for you in your business – you can actually get more done when you break down your day into windows of time. I like to work in 55 minute blocks, and take a 5 minute break each hour to move around, which really helps with my concentration and energy throughout the day.
TIP: Set alarms to remind you of the blocks of time you have set up for yourself, and what the intention or goal is for each. When you know what you’re working towards you’re much more likely to make it happen.
Do Your IPA First
Focus on the things that are going to drive your business forward first. This means doing the stuff that generates income for you, and grows your business and team. What might this be for you? Take a moment to check in right Now and notice if you have your day set up to support this work being done first.
If you don’t, what needs to shift? Make a mini list of your top 3 priority activities for the day, and commit to doing these first. This will allow you to feel more accomplished, and get things done.
