Listening to Your Inner Voice
Albert Einstein once said, “I believe in intuitions and inspirations. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.” Does this surprise you that one of the most brilliant minds the world has ever seen, a scientist no less, touted that imagination is more important than knowledge? Although it may seem difficult to believe, the intangible things like a “gut feeling” play a major part in helping to guide our businesses.
Einstein was known for tuning into his dreams and through them, discovering many of his scientific theories. While intuition may not sound like a practical approach to decision-making, business leaders understand the importance of listening to that “gut feeling” to not only help lead them to success, but to also make a bigger impact on the world around them.
There have often been times when Rex has shown me the power of listening to that inner voice. Intuitive leaders, like Rex, are exceptionally good at many things, including thriving when someone tells them they can’t succeed, acting on their vision and making decisions confidently.
The most significant leadership trait I’ve learned from him is when it comes to making decisions, ask the right questions and make sure that the decision you make is one you can stand by. Having that confidence isn’t attributed to being able to calculate whether it’s the right or wrong decision, although certainly there are times when it’s that easy. No, the most difficult decisions are the ones you have to feel from within.
When Rex looked at the Multi-Level Marketing industry, he knew there was power behind it. What he had yet to fully understand was the incredible power of Aloe Vera. As he tracked down the ultimate product that would be, unbeknownst to him, a world-wide phenomenon, he had doubts. He received pushback from naysayers and was told this type of business wouldn’t succeed.
As a business owner, there is nothing more important than having strong belief. In some instances, failure is inevitable. However, the most important instinct you can tap into, is the one that is telling you that you’re doing exactly what you’re meant to be doing. If you can imagine it for your future, then it can happen.
2018 is a pivotal year for the Forever brand. As we prepare to share innovations and new products with you at Global Rally, we must appreciate our inner voice. Without it, we wouldn’t be where we are now and certainly, we wouldn’t be moving Forever forward. Find ways to let your imagination inspire your own business. Listen to your intuition and the next 40 years will be just as exciting as the last.
