Ways to cool down in the heat with Forever Aloe Berry Nectar

The UK has seen some incredible temperatures so far this year, and apparently, there’s even more to come. With that in mind, we’ve pulled together some summer recipes to help you cool down in the heat with Forever Aloe Berry Nectar.

Berries are a great choice of fruit in the heat as their tangy tastes can be really refreshing. Not only that, but they are packed with plenty of nutrients. Cranberries are high in vitamin C, which contributes to the normal function of the immune system, and are often described as a superfood. Strawberries are high in vitamin C too, but also in vitamin K which contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

We know that when you’re warm, it can be easy to reach for the closest thing in the freezer, healthy or not, so why not keep some of our Summer Fruit Ice Lollies or Berry Bliss Sorbet in the freezer? These delightful recipes will help you to stay on track and keep you cool through heatwave round two. We hope you enjoy our summer recipes below, all full of berry goodness!

Very Berry Slushy - Serves 2-4

200ml Forever Aloe Berry Nectar
500ml cranberry juice (or other fruit juice of your choice)
tsp. lime zest
tbsp. lime juice


Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a shallow baking dish. The sides of the dish should be at least a few inches high, so that the liquid doesn’t spill out. 

Cover the dish with a lid or some cling film. Freeze the mixture for about 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Each time you stir, you'll break up the ice that has formed. Over time this creates the classic ‘slushy’ texture. After the 3 hours, your slushy should be just right. Enjoy!

Summer Fruit Ice Lollies - Serves 6

300g fresh berries (we recommend strawberries), hulled and halved
2 apples, peeled, cored and roughly sliced
250ml Forever Aloe Berry Nectar
1 tbsp. Forever Bee Honey


Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the mix into ice lolly moulds and freeze for at least 4 hours. Enjoy the berry goodness!

Berry Bliss Sorbet - Serves 2

125g raspberries
120ml Forever Aloe Berry Nectar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Garnish with raspberries


Blend the raspberries with the Forever Aloe Berry Nectar and lemon juice. Place mixture in the freezer for at least 6 hours and run through a Yonanas machine before serving. If you don’t have a Yonanas machine, blend frozen mixture for a few seconds until smooth. Garnish with raspberries for true berry bliss.
